Insurance Information
New Jersey Cancer Care, PA participates with North Jersey Medicare and most managed care plans. Please bring your insurance identification card with you to your appointments, as we cannot provide care without a plan card or another type of insurance verification.
Each insurance carrier has specific guidelines that must be followed regarding referrals from primary care doctors, pre-certifications, etc. Our staff will do everything we can to help make the insurance referral and verification process go smoothly. To help us help you comply with your insurance carrier’s rules and regulations, we ask that you read and understand your own policy’s guidelines. Please notify our office immediately if there are any changes to your insurance policy.

Open Enrollment
Open enrollment for Medicare begins Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7.
It is during this period that those covered by Medicare — people 65 and older — can change their health plan and prescription drug coverage for 2020. For many people, the Medicare open–enrollment process can be confusing with its alphabet plans.
Now is the time to consider changing your insurance from a Medicare Advantage Plan to Traditional Medicare with a supplemental insurance that will pick up the 20% that medicare does not cover. Along with this change you may also need to pick a Part D plan for prescription coverage if you do not have one.

Billing Disclosures
When you receive emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing. In addition, healthcare providers now need to provide patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services.
